FAQs
What is counseling?
Counseling is a safe, supportive space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we’ll explore your story, identify patterns, and work toward healing, growth, and meaningful change.
How do I know if counseling is right for me?
If you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward, counseling can help. You don’t need to wait for a crisis—many people seek support to navigate life transitions, improve relationships, reduce stress, or simply get to know themselves better.
What can I expect in the first session?
The first session is about getting to know you. We’ll talk about your goals, your story, and what brought you here. You’ll also have the chance to ask questions and decide if this feels like the right fit for you.
How long does counseling take?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people come for a few months to work through a specific concern, while others benefit from longer-term support. We’ll collaborate to set goals and pace counseling in a way that feels manageable and meaningful for you.
Do you offer online counseling?
Yes! My practice is exclusively virtual. I provide secure, HIPAA-compliant virtual sessions, so you can access support from anywhere in Wyoming (and soon Washington state). Many clients find online counseling convenient and just as effective as meeting in person.
What types of issues do you help with?
I work with individuals, couples, and families facing a wide range of concerns—including life transitions, stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, and healing from difficult or unexpected experiences.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, I accept certain insurance plans. We’ll review details during the intake process so you know exactly what to expect. I also offer private pay options.
Is counseling confidential?
Yes. Your privacy is very important to me. Everything you share in session is kept confidential, with only a few exceptions required by law (such as safety concerns). We’ll go over this in detail so you feel informed and comfortable.
